The recent surge in these areas is a reminder that the pandemic continues to pose a serious global challenge. I am saddened to see the devastating toll COVID-19 continues to take. With the continued roll-out of vaccines, I am certain better days are on the horizon, and until then, like many Canadians, my thoughts are with the nations experiencing very difficult times.
