As President and Chief Executive Officer, Holger Kormann is responsible for the strategic management, direction and growth of Symcor’s operations across Canada. An innovative and hands-on change-agent, Holger is a visionary with an exceptional track record of shaping successful business strategies and driving growth.

 

Prior to joining Symcor, Holger served as President of ADP Canada for eight years, where he was responsible for positioning the company as the partner of choice in the human resources technology and outsourcing markets. With over two decades of experience spanning technology, operations, and sales, Holger has held progressively senior positions at organizations including Atos International and Siemens.

 

Holger earned a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and an MBA from the University of Hamburg in Germany. With a wide range of interests, Holger is a curious traveler, an avid car enthusiast and a hobby real estate developer. He enjoys biking, running, tennis and spending quality time with family at his home base in Oakville, Ontario.

Strategic Advisor to the Board (Former President and CEO)

In her role as Strategic Advisor to the Board, Chameli will support the transition of Symcor’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, Holger Kormann, until her retirement in January 2025.

 

Chameli joined Symcor in 2008 and assumed the position of President and CEO in 2011, where she took on a pivotal role in defining and steering the strategic trajectory of the company. Her visionary management helped Symcor evolve into an agile organization with unique expertise, transitioning its focus to digital-first solutions, all underpinned by rigorous security protocols. Chameli has helped cultivate a values-based, results-oriented culture at Symcor, driving the development of business solutions that create richer outcomes for clients and industry partners.

 

Chameli holds degrees in Economics, and Operations and Materials Management from Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College respectively. She is the founder of Naraine Global Fund - a philanthropic organization that funds grassroots projects in developing countries, centered on improving the health and education of women and children.

Sherrie oversees Symcor’s administrative, financial, and risk management operations in alignment with building and executing the company’s strategic vision. She entered her current role in 2016 after ten years with the company. Before joining Symcor, Sherrie brought a wealth of experience from her former posts as Senior Manager of Financial Reporting at both Royal Group Technologies and Hollinger Inc.

 

A Chartered Professional Accountant, Sherrie received her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics from York University. She spends her off-hours playing baseball and softball, curling, reading, and enjoying time with her family.

Craig leads the Client Services team to oversee the delivery, integration, and transformation of business services within the Symcor delivery network. He also leads a team responsible for client relations and our operational excellence initiatives. Craig joined Symcor in 2009 as Vice President of Operations for the Western Region. His 20 years of global outsourcing operations experience includes serving as Director of North America Utility BPO Operations for Accenture and, prior to that, as Director of Customer Care Operations at CustomerWorks LP.


Craig obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University in Toronto. Based in Calgary, he spends his free time skiing in the Rockies, golfing wherever there is warm weather, and spending time with his family.

Paul is responsible for developing and executing Symcor’s market-driven technology strategy and managing the technical support and core application teams. He began working with Symcor as a consultant in 2015 before being appointed to his current position in 2016. Paul has extensive experience as a business and information technology executive from his time as Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Farm Credit Canada, and Vice President at Ipsos-Reid.

 

In addition to his BSc (UPEI) and MA (Queen’s University), Paul is a Certified Director with the Institute of Corporate Directors at the Rotman School of Management (U of T). In his spare time, he owns, breeds, and manages Standardbred racehorses.

Ana oversees the resources, training and strategy that empowers employees to follow Symcor’s North Star of Connecting for Common Good. In her role, Ana shapes Symcor’s overall employee experience, advances well-being, diversity and inclusion, and champions Symcor’s cultural transformation. 

 

Her progressive talent strategy supports Symcor’s business objectives as well as the growth and development of its employees across 9 locations in Canada. Prior to joining Symcor in 2019, Ana held senior positions in organizations across Canada and the U.K., including HP and DXC Technology.

 

Ana earned her Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, with a specialty in Strategic Human Resource Management. Ana is an avid traveler, exploring new locations with her family and spends as much time as possible on the slopes in the winter months.

As Symcor’s Senior Vice President and Chief Legal officer, Elisabeth oversees the company’s legal, contractual and regulatory functions in addition to guiding governance matters as Secretary to the Board of Directors. Elisabeth joined Symcor in 2010 holding progressively senior positions.

 

Prior to joining Symcor, Elisabeth worked at John Deere Credit and Stikeman Elliott LLP. She earned her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She previously served as a Director on the Board of the Canadian Technology Law Association.

 

Elisabeth speaks fluent French, enjoys playing tennis, sprint training and is often spotted at hockey rinks with her three boys.

Saba Shariff oversees multiple teams responsible for designing and launching innovative products that
address industry-wide challenges, along with a mandate for charting Symcor’s corporate strategy towards continued growth. Saba joined Symcor in 2002 and held progressive senior positions thereafter. 

Prior to joining Symcor, Saba had preceding experience in both start-ups and telecommunications sectors. Named as one of Canada’s Top 50 Women in Fintech in Canada, Saba is a sought-after public speaker who shares insights on topics such as Open Banking, Innovation and Women in Technology in the Canadian financial industry. 

Saba obtained her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English, Rhetoric & Professional Writing from the University of Waterloo. Saba is a mentor with Women in Open Banking, an Honorary Chair of the Princess Margaret’s Weekend to Conquer Cancer event, and a Board member for Women in Communications and Technology (WCT). In her spare time, Saba enjoys travelling, trying new and interesting cuisines and avidly cheering on her favourite sports teams.
