Symcor Celebrates 15 Years as One of Canada’s Greenest Employers

Symcor is proud to announce that it has once again been named one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2025 - marking our 15th consecutive year on this prestigious list. Organized by Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, this recognition highlights our longstanding dedication to environmental responsibility across every level of our operations.

Our approach to sustainability is both comprehensive and evolving. We continuously look for ways to reduce our impact and engage our employees in meaningful environmental action.

 Some of our ongoing initiatives include: 

• Recycling Beyond the Basics
  Our in-house program captures non-conventional recyclables, including coffee pods, e-waste, cell phones, batteries, paper towels, and pallets. Employees also collect aluminum beverage can tabs to donate to the Pop Tabs for Wheelchairs program, helping fund mobility equipment for children in need.
• Community Environmental Volunteering
  Symcor employees regularly roll up their sleeves to support local environmental initiatives, from tree planting at the Toronto Zoo to participating in Calgary’s annual Pathway and River Cleanup.
• Supporting Sustainable Commutes
  To help reduce commuting emissions, employees have access to a bike loan program managed by our head office, as well as EV parking (for both cars and bikes), transit subsidies, and preferred parking for carpoolers.

While we celebrate this milestone, our sights are firmly set on the future. We know that sustainability is an ongoing journey, and we’re energized to continue finding new ways to protect our environment and empower our people.
