The COVID pandemic reimagined working styles and work processes overnight. For in-house legal departments, it quickly became apparent that managing an evolving workplace and the needs of business required enhanced strategies for efficiency. At the In-house Lawyers Summit, organized by Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Symcor’s Elisabeth Demone, VP Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary, shared practical insights on change management that have allowed her and her team to thrive during the past year and a half.

The session featured industry leaders such as Michael Paris, Executive Director, Legal Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Cineplex; Sue-Lynn Noel VP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Purolator; and Andrea Wood, Chief Legal and Governance Officer at Telus.
Panelists shared strategies for maintaining resilience and agility that have allowed them to continue to flourish as they look to the post-pandemic era. The panel offered guidance to other in-house lawyers on creating stable systems amid constant change.
